Domestic Violence - This is not an excuse

- Are you often left feeling anxious or scared?
- These can be signs of domestic abuse. Abuse is not normal and there is never an excuse for it.
Local Family Justice Website
A team of local professionals have put together a local family justice website which is specifically aimed at litigants involved in or considering family proceedings in the Avon, North Somerset & Gloucestershire Local Justice Area. The site is independent from the judiciary or court service. It brings together details of local support and resources for litigants, as well as national organisations. The site gives basic guidance about how court process works, including flow charts of both children and financial remedy proceedings, and whilst it does not provide legal advice does signpost to organisations that provide reliable, accessible and clear information about law and process through face to face services, helplines, websites and videos.
